WGCA Welcomes Dr. Perry Back To WGCA
WGCA welcomed Dr. Perry back to the office on July 6th.
Dr. Perry gave birth to a healthy and beautiful baby boy at
7:49 pm on April 15th, and Dr. Bradley was the delivering physician. The baby’s name is Ethan Tadashi Domajnko. He was given the name Tadashi, which means loyal in Japanese, to honor Dr. Perry’s late maternal grandfather.
Dr. Perry would like everyone to know that her family is doing well, and Ethan is a very happy and
calm baby. She would also like to wish everyone well, and is looking forward to seeing everybody
once she is back in the office. Additionally, Dr. Perry provided us with some insight that she
gained during her experience. She related to us that,
“My labor and delivery was quick and I am just so thankful that Ethan is healthy. I have a new
found appreciation for labor, and I know it will definitely change my perspective of labor once
I come back to work. It is so much harder to be a patient. More than anything, I have learned
that if you trust your doctors, and trust that they will take good care of you, it can make the
whole experience an amazing one.”

Electronic Medical Records and WGCA

EMR encorporates technology as a tool to accomplish our long term goals to provide the highest quality obstetrical and gynecological care to all our patients in a professional, competent and passionate manner. No Show Policy
Effective May 1, 2010, Women Gynecology & Childbirth Associates, PC will put into place a $50 fee for patients who do not show for scheduled appointments and a $100 fee for missed procedures, including ultrasound. This is now being implemented by many practices in the community due to the high rates of missed appointments.
We would appreciate it if you would notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to keep this appointment, so that we may use the time for other patients. If you need to contact us after hours about a cancellation, please feel free to leave a message on our voicemail system.
As you know, appointments slots are very important to our patients and our providers. When patients fail to keep their scheduled appointments these slots are unused when other patients may have been able to make use of them, even on relatively short notice. By implementing the "No Show" fee, it is our goal to make as many appointments available to our patients as possible, by encouraging all patients to keep their appointments or cancel in advance.

Habitat For Humanity
Thanks to Dr. Morningstar's stepdaughter, Melissa Pulcino, WGCA became a major donor to a Habitat for Humanity house which will be constructed in Rochester by women volunteers. The house will be built over the summer at 278 Campbell Street. Melissa began fund raising this winter and got us all excited about what we could do as a group. The WGCA effort is being directed by Jody Filonovich; Dr. Morningstar and Dr. Surgeon made large personal donations as well.
You may have seen staff members "dressed down" on Thursdays in
April as part of the staff donation effort; a bake sale was also held. WGCA volunteers will be working at the site. Follow our progress in the news and on the WGCA website. 97% of children in Rochester habitat homes graduate high school and attend college. We can make a difference, one family at a time.
In addition to providing financial support, we at WGCA plan to do our share in the actual construction of the house. Every month, WGCA supports a charity that has personal significance to someone on our staff. When you see one of our staff members wearing jeans and a tee-shirt, that is because he or she has donated to a cause to "earn" the dress down day.

When you are seen for your Annual Exam, your provider may recommend an HPV Screening test. We encourage you to check with your insurance carrier prior to your exam to inquire about coverage for this test. Thank you.

Dr. Coral Surgeon Recognized by the Rochester Women's Network
On October 15, 2008 the Rochester Women's Network (RWN) held their 30th Anniversary Gala. As part of the Gala festivities, RWN celebrated the contributions made by women leaders of Rochester. Dr. Surgeon was one of 12 women honored with the "Vital Women, Vital Roles" Award. The physicians and staff of WGCA are so proud of Dr. Surgeon for all of the contributions she makes to women's health and our community! |

Women Gynecology & Childbirth Associates, P.C. is now offering Heel Scans in our Medical Spa. No appointments necessary. All women are welcome to have a Heel Scan performed in order to measure bone density, an important factor relating to osteoporosis. Heel Scans are $20 and are not covered by insurance.
