WGCA Response to COVID-19

We understand that these are anxious times. During this worldwide public health crisis, this is what we are doing at WGCA to keep our patients, providers and staff safe.   As your healthcare provider we will continue to see patients and provide care to our community in conjunction with CDC guidelines.

We are encouraging all patients with non-urgent matters to consider reaching out to our office to discuss your concerns, as we are now offering telemedicine to address certain medical issues. We are currently calling all our patients 24 hours prior to their appointment to screen for any symptoms or risk factors for exposure to this highly contagious virus. 

If you are over the age of 60, your risk of serious or even fatal complications from the virus are two times higher than the general population. We would encourage you to consider rescheduling your appointment. If you choose to reschedule, you will hear from our office in approximately 6-8 weeks. 

If you are having an urgent problem or wish to be seen, one of our clinical team members will reach out to you. Please be patient, someone from our office will contact you.   Be aware that our response time may not be as rapid as you are accustomed to, as we have higher call volumes.

If you are an obstetrical patient, you will be contacted by one of our nurses for screening and to determine the appropriate routine appointment intervals based on your history and gestational age.

Patients scheduled for an ultrasound or Dexa scan appointment will receive a screening call from the office to review the appropriateness of your appointment.

None of the above will affect our after hours on-call services.

No Show Policy

WGCA charges a $50 fee to patients who do not come in for scheduled appointments, and a $100 fee for missed procedures, including ultrasound.

Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to keep your appointment, so that we can make that time available to other patients. If you need to contact us after hours about a cancellation, please leave a message on our voicemail system.

As you know, appointments are very important to our patients and our providers. When patients fail to keep their scheduled appointments, these times are not available for others who could have used them, even on relatively short notice. By implementing the "No Show" fee, we hope to make as many appointments available to our patients as possible, by encouraging all patients to keep their appointments or cancel in advance.
